George graduated from Marquette University in 1979 with a degree in Economics and has been in the financial services
industry since 1980. He successfully completed the course work for the Certified Financial Planner designation through
the College for Financial Planning in Denver, CO in 1986 and has taught financial planning classes for Roosevelt
University in Chicago, IL; William Rainey Harper College in Palatine, IL: South Suburban College in South Holland, IL:
and LaSalle Bank in Chicago, IL.
George served as Director for the Institute for Financial Services Training at Roosevelt University in 1988 and was
the featured speaker/trainer for a financial training program designed for the employees of UAW/Ford in Michigan and
Illinois conducted through Governors State University in sough suburban Chicago, IL in 1989 and 1990.
He earned the Chartered Life Underwriters (CLU) designation from the American College in 1994 and is currently a
managing partner of Oakwood Financial Services, Inc., an independent financial consulting firm, and President of TriVest
Financial, Inc., a Registered Investment Adviser, both located in Lansing, IL.
George maintains the NASD Series 6, 22, 24, 62, 63 and 65 as well as appropriate insurance licenses.
Due to his unique blend of motivation, personal development, and money concepts, George has been a guest speaker for a
variety of businesses and organizations including; Professional Training Services, Inc., the American Business Women's
Association, Independent Insurance Agents of Illinois, Illinois Bankers Association, Loyola University of Chicago, LTV
Steel Company, Inland Steel Company, Hispanic Alliance for Career Enhancement, SaCor Systems and currently teaches a
comprehensive financial planning course at Kankakee Community College in Kankakee, IL.
